Coming out of the closet to my family, kinda painless

music: You're Beautiful by James Blunt
OMG Ellen Degeneres was name the new America Idol Judge. Yay! (I hated Paula so much, I changed the channel every time she spoke). Ok I have officially been hanging out with too many lesbians.
(btw to those who don't personally know me, I grew up without a mother or father, I was taken care of by my grandmother until she had a stroke in 2004, it forced me to grow up. I went from having everything given to me to having to bathe, cook for, and clean up after someone else. But without it, I wouldn't be the person I am today
I came out to my family tonight. (Kind of, I said I was Pansexual but they kept pulling up the word gay)
Aunt's Reaction: If you're gay that's okay, it's not a big deal. *She then proceeds to interview me on how I realized I wasn't straight and I am supposed to have lunch with her on Saturday so she can further cross examine me* ((btw: my aunt is severely bipolar, one day she loves me the next day she's throwing shit at me, the next day she is kicking me out, and then she's buying clothing for me, I'm confused whenever I am around her)
Uncle in law's reaction: It's just a phase (-___- he's the nicest one, I figured he'd understand, this hurt me deeply but I brushed it off)
Uncle (related by blood): *Laughs* It's your life ( I expected this reaction)
On a positive note, I got to see my cousin today, I love the girl to death and she is growing up so fast. She is nine years old and is a whopping 5'9" tall. I was so happy to see her.
Also for the first time since her first stroke my grandma kissed me and gave me a hug. She said "thank you for being you" and I cried. After my grandma got sick, her personality did a complete 180 she went from a strong independent black woman to feeble sickly hostile old woman. Tonight I saw a glimpse of what she once was and hope was restored in my heart. I once said that the grandmother I knew had "died" and had been replaced with an evil changeling. I now know that even though it doesn't seem like it, that woman who took care of me growing up is still there deep inside.

Robert Pattinson (aka sparkly eddiekins) is almost killed by taxicab running away from rabid fangirl

mood:
amused
music: Death Cab for Cutie (get it? lololol)
Amid a mob of frenzied fans, Rob Pattinson collided with a taxi on the streets of downtown Manhattan Thursday.
The Twilight actor, in New York City filming Remember Me, apparently attempted to run across the street near the famed Strand bookstore to escape a hoard of fans when he was clipped on his hip by a moving cab, whose driver slammed on his breaks upon impact.
Pattinson, 23, did not appear to be injured and walked away from the incident.
Production sources on the Remember Me set say Pattinson regularly attracts mobs of fans when they are filming. "It's been nonstop busy all day with people trying to get a glimpse of him, and the crowd goes nuts when they do see him," an eyewitness told PEOPLE Tuesday.
As a result, the actor has hired his own security in addition to the bodyguards provided by Summit Entertainment, according to the source, who adds that the heartthrob maintains a positive attitude about his fans.
"I think he appreciates it. He's not one to make a big deal about it. He's a chill guy and quiet so far," the source says. "I think he finds it a little weird that people are standing outside all day to get a glimpse of him, but grateful."
Neither Summit Entertainment nor a rep for Pattinson was immediately available for comment."

LESBIAN, GAY, BISEXUAL, AND TRANSGENDER PRIDE MONTH, 2009
- - - - - - -
BY THE PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA
A PROCLAMATION
Forty years ago, patrons and supporters of the Stonewall Inn in New York City resisted police harassment that had become all too common for members of the lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender (LGBT) community. Out of this resistance, the LGBT rights movement in America was born. During LGBT Pride Month, we commemorate the events of June 1969 and commit to achieving equal justice under law for LGBT Americans.
LGBT Americans have made, and continue to make, great and lasting contributions that continue to strengthen the fabric of American society. There are many well-respected LGBT leaders in all professional fields, including the arts and business communities. LGBT Americans also mobilized the Nation to respond to the domestic HIV/AIDS epidemic and have played a vital role in broadening this country's response to the HIV pandemic.
Due in no small part to the determination and dedication of the LGBT rights movement, more LGBT Americans are living their lives openly today than ever before. I am proud to be the first President to appoint openly LGBT candidates to Senate-confirmed positions in the first 100 days of an Administration. These individuals embody the best qualities we seek in public servants, and across my Administration -- in both the White House and the Federal agencies -- openly LGBT employees are doing their jobs with distinction and professionalism.
The LGBT rights movement has achieved great progress, but there is more work to be done. LGBT youth should feel safe to learn without the fear of harassment, and LGBT families and seniors should be allowed to live their lives with dignity and respect.
My Administration has partnered with the LGBT community to advance a wide range of initiatives. At the international level, I have joined efforts at the United Nations to decriminalize homosexuality around the world. Here at home, I continue to support measures to bring the full spectrum of equal rights to LGBT Americans. These measures include enhancing hate crimes laws, supporting civil unions and Federal rights for LGBT couples, outlawing discrimination in the workplace, ensuring adoption rights, and ending the existing "Don't Ask, Don't Tell" policy in a way that strengthens our Armed Forces and our national security. We must also commit ourselves to fighting the HIV/AIDS epidemic by both reducing the number of HIV infections and providing care and support services to people living with HIV/AIDS across the United States.
These issues affect not only the LGBT community, but also our entire Nation. As long as the promise of equality for all remains unfulfilled, all Americans are affected. If we can work together to advance the principles upon which our Nation was founded, every American will benefit. During LGBT Pride Month, I call upon the LGBT community, the Congress, and the American people to work together to promote equal rights for all, regardless of sexual orientation or gender identity.
NOW, THEREFORE, I, BARACK OBAMA, President of the United States of America, by virtue of the authority vested in me by the Constitution and laws of the United States, do hereby proclaim June 2009 as Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender Pride Month. I call upon the people of the United States to turn back discrimination and prejudice everywhere it exists.
IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand this first day of June, in the year of our Lord two thousand nine, and of the Independence of the United States of America the two hundred and thirty-third.

Rant from a self-hating Twilight fan who knows that books suck but reads them anyway
Nov. 23rd, 2008 | 07:39 pm

crappy
music: Supermassive Black Hole by Muse
I was going to write about how badly the movie sucked but then NY times wrote a funny article about how the movie is actually better then the book...and they're right
http://nymag.com/daily/ent ertainment/2008/11/slidesh ow_of_twilight.html#photo= 1
I'll post my full review later (oh joy)...but the best thing about the movie were the minor actors and the soundtrack. The worst were the two main actors themselves.
They had no chemistry and no facial expressions. Robert looked liked he was constipated the whole time ( I mean where the hell were Edward's dazzling smiles). Bella's facial expressions ranged from apathetic to not amused
The guy playing Jacob did pretty well, so I will give him the benefit of a doubt, but he better not screw up in New Moon (I'm a Jacob fan who pretends that the crap in the last book never happened, In my mind Bella and Edward die in a fire and Jacob ends up with Leah).
Bella's friends were cooler then they were in the book.
Alice and Emmett did extremely well, Jasper looked like he was in pain the whole time (but I guess that was the point) and Rosalie was better looking then I expected. Carlisle and Esme were charming but sadly ordinary.
James, Laurent and Victoria were perfect, they were hilight of the movie for me (*Rawr* I wanna sex them up...yes...even Victoria)
The whole movie was a smash up of awkwardness, it felt like you were being dragged along and all you could think was "WHERE THE HELL IS THE PLOT"
I think the baseball scene was cute though (they really should show the other Cullens alot more...to make up for edwar'd suckiness)
EDIT: and as for the trailers.
The spirit: looks fucking stupid
Bride Wars: Looks adorable, looks like a good chic flick
Harry Potter 6: OMFG this one actually looks good (some girls started to BOO and yelled "SHUTUP"!)
That mouse movie: whatever
7 pounds: a must see... will fucking smith is in it, that's already a good enough reason
Push: looks okay
the last movie that I totally forgot about: not worth seeing

Getting kinda sick of seeing it everywhere. After watching so many trailers, I think the movie is going to suck. The book is pretty mediocre, the story is good but her writing style makes me want to kill a small animal and the lack of plot disturbs me. And Breaking Dawn was a trainwreck that I couldn't pull myself away from. Anyway if they had let me cast the movie and I got to choose any people I wanted I'd choose these people.

Top 10 Reasons Why Americans Believe Gay Marriage is Wrong
Downloaded from Gaynz.com message boards
________________________________________
1. Being gay is not natural.
And real Americans always reject unnatural things like eyeglasses, polyester, and air conditioning, tattoos, piercings and silicon breasts.
2. Gay marriage will encourage people to be gay.
In the same way that hanging around tall people will make you tall.
3. Legalizing gay marriage will open the door to all kinds of crazy behavior.
People may even wish to marry their pets because a dog has legal standing and can sign a marriage contract. Lamps are next.
4. Straight marriage has been around a long time and hasn't changed at all.
Hence why women are still property, blacks still can't marry whites, and divorce is still illegal.
5. Straight marriage will be less meaningful if gay marriage were allowed.
And we can't let the sanctity of Britney Spears' 55-hour just-for-fun marriage be destroyed.
6. Straight marriages are valid because they produce children.
So therefore, gay couples, infertile couples, and old people shouldn't be allowed to marry because our population isn't out of control, our orphanages aren't full yet, and the world needs more children.
7. Obviously gay parents will raise gay children.
Since, of course, straight parents only raise straight children.
8. Gay marriage is not supported by religion.
In a theocracy like ours, the values of one religion are imposed on the entire country. That's why we have only one religion in America.
9. Children can never succeed without a male and a female role model at home.
Which is exactly why we as a society expressly forbid single parents to raise children.
10. Gay marriage will change the foundation of society; we could never adapt to new social norms.
Just like we haven't adapted to cars, the service-sector economy, or longer life spans.

Twilight Rant (yes another one)
Jul. 12th, 2008 | 11:10 pm
mood:
aggravated
music: Popular _ Wicked (soundtrack)
I've gotten used to the fact that Robert is Edward, he doesn't look bad in interviews (despite the fact that he looks perpetually drunk), but the makeup and lighting of Twilight makes him look even more ghastly. I figure if they hadn't caked so much makeup on him he'd look better.
I've always like Kristen Stewart as an actress so I'm fine with her ...but the thing that bugs me now is that they don't look good together, at all. they always look awkward together. (and I wish Robert wouldn't look so tense all the time and I wish Kristen had some life in her expressions (she looks more dead then he does)
this magazine cover is hideous it looks like they took two separate pictures and shopped them together...when I first saw it I thought is was I thought supposed to be a joke

this looks like a baby photoshopped this. Edward looks like they dug him straight out of the grave (I know vampires are dead...but they're supposed to be alluring too) and Bella looks like a super model instead of a clumsy highschool girl...and the cherry on top of the nasty cake is that they're in the most ridiculous pose, they look like one of those couples on a sleazy romance novel (you know the ones with the bad sex scenes in them)
Oh and why is he so hairy...17 year olds aren't that hairy (if edward is a 17 year old forever that would mean he would no longer be able to grow body hair...so why does he have so much)
Frankly Entertainment Weekly should ashamed of themselves for such a a halfassed job

Super Junior Happy?...SM Entertainment NEEDS TO STOP
Jun. 25th, 2008 | 12:35 pm
location: Miyavi's closet
mood:
pensive
music: Mushaboom by Feist
what the fuck....I stop paying attention to the Kpop fandom for two months and this diabolical train wreck happens. Lee Soo Man (Suju and DBSK producer) has created yet another Super Junior subgroup
Super Junior as you know is made up of 13 members

Leeteuk, Kangin, Heechul,Hankyung, Shiwon, Eunhyuk,Sungmin, Kibum, Donghae, Ryeowook,Shindong, Yehsung and Kyuhyun
First Subgroup was Super Junior Trot (Suju T) which refers to their old trot pop sound

Leeteuk, Kangin, Heechul, Sungmin,Shindong, and Eunhyuk
Second subgroup was Super Junior KRY who did more ballad type songs

Ryeowook, Kyuhyun, and Yehsung
FInally SM outraged ELF's (super junior official fangroup a.k.a crazy batshit elitist bitches)
By introducing two new guys and telling them that they were going to make a chinese Super Junior group... many believed that if this happened Suju would go from 13 to 15..Despite tons of boycotts and protests they launched Suju M...But when Suju Mandarin was launched we later found out that there would only be three chinese members in Suju M and that the rest of the members would be regular old members from Suju. Though Zhou Mi and Henry were chinese the only member of Suju M that can speak Chinese is Hankyung (who was originally the only chinese member of Suju). Despite this Super Junior M is doing well in china

Hankyung, Donghae, Siwon, Ryeowook, Kyuhyun, and two non-Super Junior members Henry Lau, Zhou Mi
But currently a new subgroup has been formed behind our back called Super Junior Happy (but you can tell that the guys really aren't happy) This group is supposed to be Bubblegum pop

Leeteuk, Kangin, Yehsung, Sungmin,Shindong, and Eunhyuk
I'm upset with this but I can truthfully say that this music video made my day (it's to cute....it's like dumping a bag of sugar into a jar marshmallow fluff and eating it)
it's almost as bad as Balloons by DBSK
It's as if SM is trying to kill these guys...bad management already threatened Kyuhyun's life...he spent months in critical condition due to an accident that was caused by an overworked road manager. Though DBSK get's more recognition the painful truth is that Suju does way more work. DBSK may be a pop singing group but suju does more they MC, model, act, dance, DJ, and attend more events in a month then DBSK has in a year. Kangin, Heechul, and Shindong did the korean voices for Alvin and the chipmunks and then had to kiss some babies at a adoption agancy (at virtually the same time) These guys go to sleep at 4 in the morning and by 8 they're off to a photoshoot and an interview.
